when was a horse a boat!

Troy was invaded it is said with the help of a wooden horse in which were hid soldiers.  I have recently been sketching ideas round the subject of the fall of Troy and having made a complete hash of trying to draw yet another wooden horse I suddenly remembered that Posiedon, god of the sea, was thought to have created the first horse.  He was also angry with the people in Troy (Ilium) - and so, doodling along with my pastels I found I was sketching a boat with a horses head for the prow, its body bedecked in flowers, but yet hiding the soldiers, being gently swept into the Trojan strong hold...
